Intermediate (Standard) First Aid Level A (St. John Ambulance)

This is a 2-day St. John Ambulance-certified course in intermediate (standard) first aid available almost daily at SCS. This intermediate (standard) first aid course is meant for people who can’t rely on ambulance services within 20 minutes of a 911 call, or who may have to transport a casualty to allow for ambulance access. Level A means you will learn “Level A CPR” which trains you in CPR to do on adults and kids age 8 and up. If you may need to do CPR on younger kids and infants, you need to click back and enroll in Level C (for children).

The course combines theory and hands-on exercises to teach you the skills you need to preserve life and prevent further injury. More than half the classroom time is for hands-on practice of the skills of first aid, so you will leave our course ready and able to perform practical first aid in emergency situations.
